Donald Trump says that he will withhold disaster relief aid from California unless it agrees to change the state’s election laws. This is insane. Can you imagine if President Biden had conditioned aid to North Carolina and Florida after Hurricane Helene only if they changed their state abortion laws? Trump doesn’t even pretend to be president of all Americans.
