Canada is a strong, independent nation with the 9th largest economy in the world, and our southern neighbour benefits from this economic strength. We are the United States’ best customer. We buy more products and services from the US than any other single nation, and more than Germany, UK, France, Italy and Vietnam combined.

We can strengthen our partnership even further in the coming years by securing our shared border and fighting unfair Chinese trade practices that harm workers in both of our countries.

I will continue to share with Americans the economic story Alberta has to tell and that's why I will be in Washington during the inauguration.
